Almost every high school in America teaches students about the Great Depression. I remember my history teacher spending at least a week on it. But although we learned the basics of what happened, we never really learned what it was like for the people lived through it.
This is a very common problem in history classrooms. Teachers make their students memorize names and dates, but they don’t tell them what daily life was like back then. It’s a shame because there is a lot you can learn from the struggles of the average person in the 1930’s. Especially if you’re a prepper. Recently, Happy Preppers wrote an excellent article about all the lessons we can learn from the Great Depression.
The author writes, “Wondering how can you survive an economic collapse and avoid poverty? Perhaps Robert T. Kiyosaki summed it up best when he wrote: ‘Poverty is simply having more problems than solutions.’ Think about this from a prepper’s perspective. Be prepared to have more solutions than problems.” Follow the link below to keep reading.
