Here’s an interesting idea. Canadian Prepper came up with something he calls the “bug out roll.” Instead of digging through your bug out bag looking for small items, you can just unroll this canvas bag and have everything laid out where you can find it. You can even see all your items through the clear vinyl windows.

Tool rolls and medical rolls have been around for a long time, but I never considered the idea of a bug out roll before. I really like the idea of having my supplies more visible and accessible.
They even come in multiple sizes, colors, and styles. You can learn more about it on CanadianPreparedness.com, or watch the videos below for details.

He developed the Roll and is working on the kinks before he puts it on the market.
Thank you for putting that. I mean it says he had the original idea but some people don’t recognize that part. It’s great seeing others supporting him like this.
You might want to throw in a stiff metal putty knife / scraper. Good for scraping or to widen a small crack to make way for the bigger pry bar. Also, you might want to replace the pry bar with a roofing pry bar. It’s flatter and has a flat end and a curved end with nail grooves on both. It’s great for prying like a straight pry bar or a like the back end of a hammer. I have even used mine for actual hammering in a pinch.
Hi Guy, I’m really interested in this roll up bag! I tried searching for it to no avail….could you tell me when and where I could get one of these? Thanks and my the sun always shine on your face…
The closest thing I’ve been able to find is the Blackhawk Emergency Medic Roll: http://www.lapolicegear.com/emmerobl.html?gclid=CIff87W69cwCFdgKgQodAIwMGA
Amazon sells Tool Rolls. Here is a popular one: 32-Pocket Tool Roll 28×14 http://amzn.to/2hxvjPF
What all does he keep in the survival roll?
I love this idea. I can’t count the times I’ve had to pull stuff out of my backpack to find something. Thanks for sharing!
