There’s a common misconception that all food goes bad, but that’s not entirely accurate. There are some foods that, for all intents and purposes, will last forever. Or at least for the rest of your life. I’m talking about the so-called “forever foods.”
Sugar, salt, and honey are three common examples. Another one is white rice. As long as it’s stored properly, white rice will last at least 30 years and possibly up to 100 years or longer. That’s why I think it’s important to store lots of rice and learn how to cook many different meals with it.
