25 Bobby Pin Hacks That'll Blow Your Mind

If you enjoy learning about alternative uses for everyday household items, you should definitely subscribe to Sensible Prepper's Youtube channel. He has made videos about survival uses for coat hangers, condoms, liquor, paper clips, PVC pipes, tampons, WD-40, and much more.

His latest “uses for” video is about bobby pins. That's right, they aren't just for holding hair in place. Bobby pins have all sorts of survival and everyday uses. And the great thing about them is how small they are, so you can have one with you at all times or add it to your bug out bag without adding any weight.

Here are a few of the ideas he came up with:

    • As a money clip.
    • Holding nails in place.
    • Replacing zipper pull.
    • Getting out that last bit of toothpaste.
    • Sharpen into a nail.
    • Make a spot on metal or wood.
    • Clean hard to reach places.
    • Make a mini screwdriver.
    • As a scraper.
    • Pick a lock.
    • As a belt clip.
    • Hem your shirt.
    • As a bookmark.
    • As a clothes pin.
    • Applying grease or glue.
    • Attach things to your bag.
    • As a paperclip.
    • Reset electronics.
    • As a chip clip.
    • As a tooth pick.
