    It's time for another video by Sensible Prepper. He's known for his many “uses for” videos about things like condoms, liquor, paper clips, WD-40, and wire coat hangers. In this video, he talks about the many survival uses for tampons. For example, it can be used as tinder, a wick, and even cordage.

    These are great ideas, but there are a few that I disagree with. I don't think tampons are good for stopping bleeding in serious wounds. Although the material is very absorbent, that's not what you need if you want the blood to coagulate. See this article. I also wouldn't use one to filter debris out of water. There's no guarantee the tampon is sterile and doesn't have any harmful chemicals in it.
