5 Preventive Health Measures To Take Before The SHTF

In the past, I've written about the importance of getting your teeth fixed and stocking up on contacts and glasses before an emergency. I admit, it's not the most fascinating topic, but it's extremely important and I don't think preppers talk about it enough.

If you've ever had a horrible toothache, you know how important going to the dentist is. You might not like going, but a good dentist can save you from a life of misery. Not only can a cavity lead to extreme pain, it can get infected and lead to serious illness or even death. So if you have a cavity, get it taken care of now, because after the SHTF it will be too late.

The same goes for other medical procedures. If there's anything important that you've been putting off, take care of it now while you still can. Another thing you should take care of, which I mentioned above, is your eyes. Either stock up on extra glasses and contacts, or get Lasik eye surgery. And of course, you should try to lose weight and get in better shape. Doing these things will significantly improve your odds of survival after a disaster.

I could say a lot more about this, but instead, I think you should check out this video by City Prepping. He explains the importance of these preventive health measures and offers some great advice. Watch it below:
