I’ve been worried about World War 3 ever since I saw the movie Red Dawn as a child and learned about Russia and the Cold War. And although the Cold War is long over (officially), I believe the possibility of World War 3 breaking out is as real as ever.
The situation with North Korea seems impossible to solve. Some people say we should just take out Kim Jong Un, but if his regime collapses, it will take as many people with it as possible, meaning millions of people in South Korea and Japan could die. Plus, China has already said that if we attack North Korea, they will retaliate, and the last thing we need is to get into a nuclear exchange with them.
With nine different nations having nuclear weapons, and all of those nations having very different goals and ideologies, I just don’t see how we’re going to get through the 21st century safely. That’s why I think it’s more important than ever to be a prepper.
