Across the entire Internet, I doubt there’s a single list of survival supplies that doesn’t include a flashlight. Even people who have never heard the term “prepper” know you should have a flashlight in case of emergency. Unfortunately, 99% of people don’t put any thought into the type of flashlight they buy. As long as it shines a light and the batteries last a while, right? Wrong.
Turns out, there are several things you should keep in mind when shopping for a flashlight, especially one that you’re going to carry with you everywhere. In this article, Graywolf Survival shares 9 simple tips to help you find the perfect EDC flashlight.
The first tip is, “Get an end power button instead of side button.” The reason is that you might accidentally bump the “on” button when the flashlight is in your pocket and drain the battery. This is such a great tip because most people have never thought of it, but it happens. I know because it happened to me. Last year I drained most of my flashlight’s battery while I was outside working in the yard. Now I only have flashlights with end buttons.
