A lot of my readers live in apartments and townhouses, and some of them have complained to me about how they can’t have a garden until they move into a house with a yard. As I always tell them, you CAN have a garden. If you have a balcony, a back porch, or some space in front of a window, you have room for a container garden. Granted, it won’t be very large–certainly not large enough to live off of–but it can be bigger than you think if you use the right method.
For example, if you drill 20 holes in a five-gallon bucket, you can grow 20 plants in a very small space. And if you want, you can stack another bucket with 20 more plants on top of that one. This system by LDS Prepper is ingenious.
