2. Be a resident of the United States
3. Be legally eligible to purchase a firearm
4. Pay a one-time $200 transfer tax for a tax stamp from the ATF

Reason #1: Silencers help prevent hearing damage, and make shooting much more enjoyable (especially for new shooters!)
A CDC study recently found that a staggering 40 million American adults—including one-fourth of people 20-69—have lost some hearing because of noise.
Consider: noises over 140 decibels can cause permanent hearing loss with hearing protection—and an un-silenced .223 AR-15 produces about 165 decibels—the use of silencers (which reduce gunshot noise by 20-35 decibels) could, when combined with regular hearing protection, significantly reduce hearing loss for all shooters.

2. Recoil reduction helps eliminate "flinching" - even if you're a "tough" guy and recoil doesn't really bother you - pretty much everyone can develop a "flinch" when firing a lot of rounds. Reducing recoil (not to mention the sound of the gunshots!) can help eliminate any "flinch" that can cause a miss!
3. Faster follow-up shots become easier to make when you reduce recoil, because less recoil means less muzzle climb, and your sights settle back on target quicker - allowing you to make the next shot faster!
Reason #3: Silencers can make your rifle MORE accurate and tighten up your groups!
Silencers can often "shift" the point of impact of your bullets compared to shooting without the silencer, but many precision rifle shooters agree a silencer can actually make your rifle MORE accurate.
In fact, when you put a silencer on your rifle it's not uncommon to see your group size shrink noticeably at distances like 100yds...
This is because adding a silencer changes some barrel harmonics, but more importantly, it strips away many of the turbulent gasses from the muzzle after the rifle is immediately fired - the location where the bullet is at its most unstable and suggestible to change...
In short, there is a reason why 51% of Professional Shooters in the Precision Rifle Series (PRS) and the top 50 shooters in the National Rifle League (NRL) run either a muzzle break or a silencer on their rifles - it's because it makes them more accurate!
