Any idiot can put together a bug out bag. All you have to do is open a bag and start throwing survival items into it. The real challenge is making a bug out bag that not only has everything you need to survive, but is also light enough to carry for hours on end. That’s where many preppers fail. Their bug out bag has all the essentials, but it’s simply too heavy.
Modern Combat And Survival published an article with some excellent suggestions on how to lighten your bug out bag. You may as well do this now because if your bag is too heavy, then somewhere along your bug out route you’ll have to sit down and take out all the heavy, unnecessary items anyway.
Jeff writes, “This always kills me when I see planning out their bug-out bag contents… Every wanna-be ‘armchair prepper’ seems to enjoy adding item after item to their bugout bag thinking that the MORE you pack, the more “PREPARED” you are. Wrong… wrong… WRONG!” Follow the link below to keep reading.
