Every prepper should have a good first aid kit, but sometimes the most useful first aid items don’t come in kits. If you look around your house, you’ll find several things that can be used to help someone who is sick or hurt. You just have to be creative.

Note: A reader pointed out that tampons should not be used for puncture wounds. Perhaps you can if it’s just a cut or scrape, but using them for serious wounds can be dangerous.
