The idea of a peaceful protest to get the attention of legislators or society in general is great, but unfortunately protests often turn violent. Sometimes it’s because of criminals who want to take advantage of the situation, and sometimes it’s because the police want to instigate violence in order to make the protesters look bad.
Whatever the case, if you plan on attending a peaceful protest, you must be prepared for the possibility of a riot. That means you need to wear the right clothes, carry the right equipment, know how to protect yourself from tear gas, and know how to escape a police charge. Prepper Zine published an excellent article that covers all these topics.
The author writes, “If you are thinking about participating in a peaceful protest demonstration, take some precautions because anytime you can get into a difficult situation. It is common practice for governments to embed provocateurs among the demonstrators and at some point begin to instigate violence in order to demonize peaceful demonstrators in the media, as well as an excuse to send riot troops busting heads.” Follow the link below to keep reading.
