Kindle Survival Books and Articles
I got a Kindle Fire for Christmas 2011, but it wasn’t long before I found that it wasn’t very great for reading books. It’s basically a small computer screen, but I already look at a computer screen all day so my eyes were starting to bother me. That’s why for Christmas 2012 I downgraded to a Kindle Keyboard.
That one has a screen that looks like paper so it’s a lot easier on the eyes. Plus, I can read it in the sunlight without any glare. Of course, now there’s the Kindle Paperwhite which can be read in the dark. Oh well, I have a book light. If you have a Kindle, too, I want to make a couple suggestions.
First, visit Pam’s Pride Recommendations. She adds up to 20 budget friendly (only a few dollars) kindle survival books everyday. And several of them are completely free! The catch is that the free ones are usually only free for one day. After that the price returns to normal. That’s why I check that site every single day. In the past week I’ve gotten dozens of free books including:
- Build the Ideal Bug Out Bag
- Survival Techniques: Quick Tips to Stay Alive in the Wilderness
- Prep School: Preserving Meat Without Power
- Create Your Own Water Filtration System On The Go!
- How to Build A Portable Chicken Coop Plans
- Herbal Medicine: Herbs For Your Health
- The How to Book on Building a Raised Garden Bed
You get the idea. I have at least 50 books so far. I haven’t gotten around to reading all of them, but I’m glad to have them because I always have something new to read.
My second suggestion is to visit Tinderizer.com. If you have the Tinderizer bookmarklet installed in your web browser, then any time you see an interesting article you can click “Send to my Kindle!” and within a few minutes, a Kindle-formatted version of the article will be waiting for you.
If installing a bookmarklet sounds complicated, don’t worry. It walks you through the process step by step and it’s completely free! I check out my favorite blogs and send interesting looking to my Kindle everyday. This is a huge relief for my eyes.
Anyway, I’m just excited about all those free Kindle survival books and Tinderizer so I thought I’d let everyone know about them. Hope you’re all having a good week!
