This is one of those articles every prepper should read because it makes some points that I rarely hear mentioned. First of all, if you have a family, then you shouldn’t have just one bug out bag. You should have a bag for each family member. But if you do that, there are several questions you need to ask.
- Where should you keep backup gear? In the same bag or in a second bag?
- Does each bag have enough gear for the person carrying it to survive on their own?
- Does everyone know how to use all the gear in their own bag?
- How much weight is each person in your family capable of carrying?
All these questions and more are dealt with in this article by Graywolf Survival.
Scott writes, “Ever since I posted my article on my personal bug out bag, I’ve gotten quite a few questions on how to pack gear and what people should choose but one of the most common is how to share gear with your partner/kids/wife etc so I figured I’d write something up.” Follow the link below to keep reading.
